I was delighted to meet Jane, a student from Kanata, at Parliament for the Forum for Young Canadians this week. I spoke with her and a group of young women about their aspirations and was amazed by their motivation. I can’t wait to see what great things this young generation will accomplish!
I also had the pleasure of speaking to women at the Equal Voice reception this week and participating in a panel discussion at the Elevate Women Conference beside my colleagues MP Elizabeth May and MP Stephanie Kusie. I spoke about female leadership in male dominated fields like the military and politics and answered some great questions on staying true to yourself while being a good manager. Thank you for having me!
Bell Let’s Talk
This Wednesday was #BellLetsTalk Day, a chance for all Canadians to join the conversation and end the stigma around mental health. This year, a new record was set with $6,919,199 being invested in Canadian mental health initiatives. Thank you to everyone who shared the #BellLetsTalk hashtag and joined the conversation on mental health! Small actions really do make a big difference.

Celebration of Service on the Hill
I was pleased to join my colleagues in celebrating Canadians who have served in uniform and to recognize employers with innovative veteran employment programs. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet the people who are doing good work for our veterans. Thank you to everyone who attended!
